This position will support laboratory operations at the QuVa location. The learning plan will support the student's academic program and provide hands-on opportunities to perform analytical testing and documentation with a clearly stated start and end period. The intern will be exposed to analytical chemistry, microbiology, R&D, and quality compliance as needs and aptitudes develop.

This is a role working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM based on site in our Bloomsbury, NJ location.

This is a safety sensitive position that may be subject to random drug testing, in accordance with applicable laws

What The Quality Control Intern Does Each Day

  • Sample management, including logging samples into the laboratory, archiving data, and supporting documentation of controlled substances.
  • Learns and performs various analytical test methods
  • Supports laboratory investigations and investigates experiments
  • Orders/receives lab supplies
  • Prepares solutions or reagents for lab use
  • The Supervisor/Mentor will provide periodic feedback to the Intern on the overall progress, and work with the intern to ensure that their expectations regarding the work are being met
  • Consistently at work and on time; ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent and that absences are appropriately communicated and approved in advance

Minimum Requirements For This Role

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • High school diploma or GED from recognized institution or organization required
  • Must be actively pursuing a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, with an anticipated graduation date within the next two years
  • Must be in good standing with accredited institution where pursuing degree
  • Demonstrated core values, professionalism, maturity through various campus or community sports, volunteer activities, or previous work history preferred

Any Of The Following Will Give You An Edge

  • Prior laboratory experience associated with high school and college studies
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Basic understanding of financial and accounting concepts
