Position Overview
Shields Health Solutions is looking to hire a Strategic Business Performance Associate, reporting to the Senior Director of Strategic Business Performance, to further enhance the capabilities of the established function. This team is leading the latest addition of value creation capabilities to our operating model; this role allows for visible high impact work and is responsible to create shared ROI for all stakeholders. The role will primarily focus on improving demand forecasting, employee utilization and related actions, and assisting in the deployment of new resources. Along with this, the Associate will partner directly with senior leaders and department heads to identify additional process improvements for the organization and lead multi-functional projects to execution. They will proactively recommend reporting, process, and infrastructure improvements. They will automate business and reporting processes and partner with internal teams to improve workflow. This role will have high visibility across the corporate team and will interact with key business leaders and executives to support critical business processes, information generation, and insights.
The ideal candidate will manage cross-functional projects and support initiatives with data-driven insights, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills, resourcefulness, and analytical capabilities in a results-oriented entrepreneurial environment.
Representative Job Responsibilities and Duties
Partner with functional leaders to uncover opportunity and execute improvement in organizational efficiency
Develop & maintain Demand Forecasting using inputs from disparate and large data sources
Utilize data landscape to identify top performing areas of the company and recognize key contributors to the success of the operating model
Proactively identify and make recommendations for enhancements / modifications to business processes, reporting and how the business leverages information
Develop cross-platform and automated reporting to drive more insightful and automated analyses
Proactively identify and communicate new reporting or enhancements to existing reports, metrics, and analyses to measure and track business performance
Develop and maintain documentation to describe and memorialize information with respect to forecasting and business processes
Troubleshoot reporting and process issues, test and work with business to resolve any issues
Support team & organizational goals as needed
Skills And Position Requirements
1-3 years of experience as ideally data or business intelligence analyst, management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or a strategy role in a high-growth, healthcare start up environment
Entrepreneurial attitude - willingness to roll up his/her sleeves and work alongside staff to make things happen quickly.
Must be highly motivated, results-driven professional who can thrive in a team-oriented environment
Highly Proficient Excel and PowerPoint skills, preferably experienced in complex data modeling
Growth-oriented and positive and problem-solving mindset
Highly analytical with strong attention to detail; methodical thinker, able to deduce and communicate relevant information from data
Effective at multi-tasking; someone who enjoys and thrives wearing multiple hats at once, seeks exposure to different perspectives, and learning new skills
Customer service oriented, flexible and adaptable with proven ability to solve problems in a collaborative manner with strong ability to influence
Basic understanding of applied statistics and probability
Experience with Services Resource Planning, or other similar field is a plus
