Responsibilities
Primary Function : The Plant Manager will monitor and coordinate the effective and efficient utilization of employees through proactive, high participation work team involvement. The position directs all day to day activities of the plant consistent with company policies and procedures

Essential Functions
- Foster and enhance the safety culture to achieve safety excellence
- Provide operational and employee leadership to the facility
- Manage financial performance and make required changes as needed to meet business commitments
- Manage all aspects of the plant cost structure including direct and indirect labor, maintenance and consumable spending, and proactively control to business volume swings to preserve profitability
- Present facility reports to Corporate Leadership
- Maintain 24 hours/day on call availability, seven days a week to deal with problems in the facility.
- Support the Capital Expenditure process
- Occasional travel to other Berry locations, suppliers, and/or customers required
Qualifications
Education:
- A four-year degree is preferred, or equivalent and applicable work-related experience
Experience
- A minimum of 5-7 years in a manufacturing environment leading a team
- Plastics experience a plus
