Job Summary: The Manager, Product Development will lead and develop a team of product owners to drive product strategy and execution. This role aligns product initiatives with company goals, ensures efficient backlog management, and facilitates cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong background in agile methodologies and a proven ability to mentor and guide teams in a dynamic environment.
Reporting Relationship: Senior Vice President, Research & Development
Shift: Generally, Monday through Friday 8am – 5 pm CST. This is a hybrid position with a combination of in office and remote work. Regular, punctual, and predictable attendance is an essential function of every job at ScriptPro.
Scope of the Role:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product owners to achieve their full potential
- Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development support
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define product vision, strategy, and roadmap
- Ensure product initiatives align with overall business objectives
- Oversee the prioritization and management of product backlogs
- Guide the team in balancing short-term deliverables with long-term strategic goals
- Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure cohesive product development
- Facilitate effective communication between technical teams and business stakeholders
- Help implement and continuously refine agile methodologies and best practices across the product teams
- Lead regular review sessions and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement
- Provide clear updates on product performance, progress, and challenges to senior management and key stakeholders
- Act as a liaison between product owners and executive leadership
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in product ownership with a track record of successful product launches
- Experience working with agile methodologies for product management and release
- Proven experience managing and mentoring teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and frameworks
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic vision with day-to-day operational management
- Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a collaborative setting
Remote Work Requirements:
- Must have high-speed reliable internet access with a hard-wired connection
- Must have a distraction free home office workspace
- Must be willing to participate in video virtual meetings (camera on)

Working Conditions:
This position operates in an office environment. Routine use of standard office equipment is required. Must be able to use a computer for extended periods of time. Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, and expected to occasionally lift, stoop, bend, and reach. Ability to learn and solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions is required.
