Position Summary
JOB DESCRIPTION
As the HR leader for the Southington facility, this role serves as a strategic partner to managers and employees, providing guidance on organizational and employee matters, coaching, and HR best practices. The HR Manager will oversee a broad range of HR functions, managing multiple projects of varying scale and complexity while driving initiatives that enhance employee engagement and operational efficiency.
In addition, this position ensures seamless execution of HR operations, maintaining full compliance with government regulations, corporate policies, and industry best practices. Key responsibilities include ensuring regulatory and policy compliance, contributing to policy development, actively leading site-wide recruitment efforts, and managing both internal and external reporting.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Viewed as a strategic business partner, change agent, and member of the site management team
- Oversee the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent
- Manage employee relations by addressing employee reports, grievances, and other issues
- Ensure the alignment of organizational structure, processes and culture supporting business goals & objectives
- Conduct performance management and employee evaluation programs
- Regularly advise management in the function and/or in the business
- Implement corporate policy at the site level
- Facilitate organization and leadership development efforts, working with employees and managers to address root causes of employee relations issues
- Resolve employee relations issues through a systematic approach
- Assist management in the development of solutions through cultural and process perspective organizational development
- Develop and drive company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., annual compensation planning process, workforce planning, and organizational change)
- Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
- Collaborate with leadership to develop workforce planning and succession strategies
- Provide counsel to site leadership management on development, implementation, and maintenance of a culture to attract and retain talent
- Other responsibilities as assigned

- Comfortable with high volume workload and able to manage multiple priorities
- Strong internal and external customer service focus, with a genuine desire to assist others
- Strong presentation skills and facilitation experience to effectively deliver a variety of HR-related training programs to groups of managers / colleagues
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented (especially with regard to effectively managing and documenting employee relations issues and investigations)
- Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Education And Experience
- Must be 18 years of age
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Master's Degree preferred but not required
- 5+ years of experience required
Physical Requirements And Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
- May need to enter clean room occasionally. When entering clean room, must comply with all gowning and PPE requirements.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to occasionally move and lift objects of up to 25 pounds
- Typically requires travel less than 25% of the time
