Who are we looking for?
The Payroll Analyst will be responsible in providing administration support across all locations by processing all aspects of payroll by ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws. and reports directly to the Sr. Payroll Manager. Responsibilities will include Bi-Weekly and Weekly payroll processing, new hires, terminations, bonuses, leaves of absence, direct deposits, wage garnishments, tax changes, 401(K) and healthcare premium deductions. The Payroll Analyst will interact with our 3rd party vendor and ensures compliance in all areas of payroll.
We are seeking a payroll professional with a highly analytical and detail-oriented mind set. It is critical that they are able to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a strong track record of cross-functional partnership. This individual must thrive in a fast-paced environment while taking ownership while providing outstanding customer service.
This position may be hired as a Payroll Analyst, or Sr. Payroll Analyst based on the depth of skill and breadth of experience.
What will you do?
- Participate in all aspects of the payroll processing in multiple states for approx.1100 employees using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accuracy, compliance and service goals are consistently met
- Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies and determine the most appropriate method of communication
- Always maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Help maintain payroll records and reports, including standard and ad hoc reports to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and timeliness as required by Accounting, Finance and HR
- Participate in 401(k) transmittals for employee loans and contributions
- Provide documentation for payroll, 401k, and benefit audits; assists in preparing annual 401k 5500 non-discrimination and other audits when requested
- Participate in the annual W-2 process
This is an onsite position at our office in San Diego, CA
What education and experience do you need?
A combination of the following education and experience factors will be considered:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in payroll in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Demonstrated deep knowledge of best practices benefits and 401k administration
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now
- Strong understanding of Federal and multi-state wage and hour regulations and payroll tax-filing procedures.

What does the position pay:
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location.
The expected range for this role is $75,000-90,000 annual compensation. Please note this range is an estimate and actual may vary based on qualifications and experience.
