Who are we looking for?
PL/SQL Developer – Financial Data Integrity & EOM Processing
We are looking for a PL/SQL Developer to ensure financial data integrity and accuracy within our RPM system, particularly from an End-of-Month (EOM) perspective. This role will focus on maintaining and optimizing the EOM 2.0 SQL processes that generate EOM data, ensuring the system remains balanced and reliable.
What will you do?
- PL/SQL Development: Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL code, including stored procedures, functions, and scripts to support EOM processing.
- Financial Data Integrity: Ensure data is properly balanced at the end of each month, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- EOM 2.0 SQL Maintenance: Optimize and maintain the EOM 2.0 SQL used for EOM data creation, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Pre-Balancing Maintenance: Support and maintain Pre-Balancing scripts that run as part of the corrective data process on a weekly basis.
- Query Optimization: Tune complex queries for performance and scalability, minimizing processing time for large datasets.
- Data Validation & Troubleshooting: Investigate data integrity issues, troubleshoot anomalies, and ensure consistent reporting.
- Collaboration: Work closely with finance, data engineering, and application teams to align database processes with business needs.
This is an onsite position at our office in San Diego, CA.
What education and experience do you need?
- Strong experience in PL/SQL development, particularly for financial or EOM processing.
- Expertise in SQL performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
- Understanding of financial data structures and balancing methodologies.
- Ability to troubleshoot data inconsistencies and improve data validation processes.
This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining system integrity for end-of-month processes.
What education and experience do you need?
A combination of the following education and experience factors will be considered:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience as a Software Engineer or PL/SQL Developer, with a strong focus on Oracle databases and PL/SQL development. Experience with performance tuning and database query optimization is essential.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in PL/SQL and Oracle database technologies. Familiarity with SQL*Loader, Oracle Data Pump, and other Oracle utilities is a plus.
- Industry Experience: Experience in industries such as finance, healthcare, or e-commerce, where database-driven applications are mission-critical, is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud database technologies (e.g., AWS RDS, Oracle Cloud).
- Experience in Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with other programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) for application integration.
- Knowledge of database security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, PCI-DSS).

What does the position pay:
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location.
The expected range for this role is $33.65-$45.67 hourly compensation. Please note this range is an estimate and actual may vary based on qualifications and experience.
