Lead Plant Associate
Reports to: Facility Manager
Classification: Non-Exempt

The Lead Warehouse Associate will be able to perform assigned operations and tasks safely and efficiently in a production environment. This individual will interact with customers, employees, managers, and regulatory representatives. The Lead Warehouse Associate is required to comply with all safety and quality policies and procedures as defined by Trilogy MedWaste to include but not limited to DOH, DOT, OSHA standards and general housekeeping practices.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safety and compliance with all relevant regulations
- Unload and load vehicles and processing equipment
- Review and sign manifests and shipping papers
- Properly load and secure materials for transport
- Scan waste and weigh with accuracy
- Ensure container type and manifest are 100% accurate
- Prepare records of receiving and production as needed
- Operate tub wash unit ensuring the wash unit is operating properly
- Remove clean tubs from the wash unit, inspect tubs and stack for loading onto assigned vehicle for re-use
- Ensure housekeeping issues, e.g., spills cleaned up, the floor is dry and debris not on the floor, etc., are addressed immediately
- Leads and supports the plant’s continuous improvement process
- Establishes clear goals and accountability to direct reports and provides performance feedback on a regular basis
- Maintain inventory levels of critical supplies and recording expenses for monthly tracking
- Report for and successfully complete all training as required
- Support operations in the management of Navusoft
- Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum one year of warehouse experience preferred
- Pleasant demeanor with other employees, customers, vendors, and regulators
- Position requires extensive lifting, walking, bending, climbing, pulling, and pushing
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull heavy carts
- Knowledge of barcode scanning; inventory management skills
- Knowledge of hazardous materials and OSHA Regulations
- Knowledge and ability to operate a powered industrial truck, e.g., forklift
- Must be forklift certified
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Quickly adapt to changing business demands
- Quickly grasp and adapt to new tasks and protocols
- Must be able to manage small groups
- Licensed for vehicle to be driven (min. Class C); Class A or Class B license also acceptable
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Medical Examiner’s Card (MEC)
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
- Able to work an agreed upon standard schedule
- Additional hours as job duties demand
TRAVEL - OTHER
- Travel to domestic Trilogy facilities when necessary (less than 10%)
- Must have a current, valid driver's license
- Able to be insurable under our company's liability insurance policy
