Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Full-Time Pre-K Teacher to join our team in Belvidere. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in early childhood education with specific licensure for PreK through 3rd grade. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for children ages 3-5
- Develop and implement strategies to support social, emotional, and academic development in young children
- Assess student progress regularly and communicate results with parents and guardians
- Build and maintain strong relationships with families to ensure a supportive home-school connection
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure cohesive and effective teaching practices
- Attend and participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education trends and best practices
- Ensure classroom organization and cleanliness, maintaining a welcoming and stimulating environment for students
Qualifications
- PreK-3rd Grade Early Childhood Education (ECE) Licensure required
- Previous experience teaching Pre-K or early childhood education is preferred
- Strong understanding of child development and early education pedagogy
- Ability to create a fun, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with young children and their families
- Patience, flexibility, and a strong passion for early childhood education
