The Operations and Payments team is seeking an intern for the 10-week Summer 2025 Internship Program at Live Oak Bank.
How This Role impacts Live Oak and its People
The Deposits and Payments Intern will help drive strategic decisions at Live Oak Bank by assisting portfolio analyst in providing portfolio management, reporting, new-initiative deployment, and ad hoc requests. Daily activities will include helping to understand complex data sets that drive product pricing strategy, show competitor analysis, measure business performance, and measure customer engagement. Projects may vary based on business need.
What You’ll Do at Live Oak
- Build and review weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual performance measurement ---- including deposit account sales and balance performance, site and funnel performance, customer engagement, and service / feature utilization
- Report and clearly articulate trends in an easy to understand way to deposit business key stakeholders including high level management
- Work with key partners on reporting and strategy (Finance and Marketing)
- Assist key deposits personal on an ADHOC basis as needed
- Projects may vary based on business need

Required And Preferred Experience
Required:
- Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program such as Finance, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science or other related field
- Strong financial analysis skills
- Excellent analytical, quantitative and interpretative skills
- Knowing your way around Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Strong partnership skills and the ability to work collaboratively across various groups in the organization
- Knowledge of basic statistical analysis
Preferred:
- Data Querying languages (e.g. SQL)
- Advanced Excel experience including V-Lookup, X-Lookup, Sumif, Pivot Tables
- Advanced degree coursework preferred

The base pay range for this position is $19.23 - $31.25 per hour. Compensation may also include annual bonuses and long-term incentives, subject to various metrics and company policy. A candidate’s salary is determined by several factors including travel, relevant work experience or skills and expertise.
