The Role:
As a Mechanical Engineering Technician II, you support mechanical engineers in designing, developing, testing, and manufacturing mechanical systems and devices. You play a critical role in driving successful product development by performing hands-on technical tasks, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. In this role, you collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality, reliability, and overall performance.
This is an onsite role based at our Johnson City, NY facility, requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with the option to work four 10-hour shifts for a 4-day work week, if preferred.
What you’ll do:
- Provide technical support to other engineers regarding mechanical design, fabrication, testing, or documentation.
- Mechanical Engineer Technician II fabricates, modifies and assembles new or existing mechanical components.
- Mechanical engineering technician II install, troubleshoot, and maintain designs created by engineers.
- Interpret engineering sketches, specifications of drawings.
- Use Autodesk Inventor software to detail drawings.
- Discuss project with supervisor and other engineering staff members to review system requirements and equipment.
- Accurately documents hours worked on all projects.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Represent iA with the highest standard of professional conduct when interacting with customers and suppliers.
Who you are:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 1+ years’ experience in a Mechanical Engineering environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
Even better if you have:
- 3D CAD modeling software experience a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently.
- Results driven.

Compensation:
The estimated hourly rate range for this position is $23.23 to $31.43 per hour, though a candidate's hourly rate shall be determined on a range of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications and experience. This position may additionally be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
