Advanced Infusion Care is looking for an experienced and motivated Patient Financial Advocate to join our dynamic team! The Patient Financial Advocate is a full-time position responsible for assisting patients with navigating their healthcare financial responsibilities, including billing inquiries, insurance verification, payment plans and drug manufacturer assistance. This role requires strong communication skills, a detailed understanding of insurance processes, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and time management abilities, demonstrate exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy, and consistently follow processes. They should have a strong understanding of insurance benefit verification and ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations.

Education And Experience
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalent is required; Minimum 2 years' experience in customer service, medical insurance, benefits verification, healthcare, or similar vocations preferred.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Determine patient s financial status.
- Educate and guide patients about copay and financial assistance programs, application process, and requirements.
- Register all eligible patients in copay assistance programs if available.
- Analyze and verify documents such as income, tax forms, W-2's and bank statements to objectively determine applicable income and assets for financial assistance program.
- Review, process, and determine approval according to Financial Assistance Policy eligibility criteria. Request financial assistance approval from management if necessary.

- Process applications in a timely manner to consistently meet individual productivity goals. Effectively communicate with patients in reference to their financial assistance application. Document in the patient s record all requests, determinations, and conversations.

- Ensure appropriate follow up according to policy guidelines.
- Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies.

- Comply with and adhere to all regulatory compliance areas, policies and procedures and company "best practices"
- Responsible for adhering to the quality, production, and turnaround standards associated with the department and/or assigned program.
- Recognizes patients’ rights and responsibilities and support them in the performance of job duties, respect patient’s rights to privacy and confidentiality.
