Job Summary
The Installer 1 position installs hardware primarily in retail pharmacy environments and trains the pharmacy staff on how to use the PioneerRX (PRx) software. This position requires extensive, nationwide travel (Monday-Friday) 36 weeks minimum throughout the year. The remaining weeks are working in-office, remotely, or at the PioneerRX Warehouse(s). During travel weeks up to 55 hours of work may be required and over 40 hours is treated as Overtime. When first learning the role, there are 4-6 months of participation as a Second working under the guidance of the Lead Installer assigned to the store. After which time, the expectation is to be able to lead new store installations onsite traveling independently.
Key Duties
Second - (Must be proficient in all key duties listed below)
- Travel to customers alongside PioneerRx (PRx) colleague(s)
- Onsite go-live participation to learn how Community Pharmacies operate
- Shadow onsite team to grow knowledge centering around key activities to bring a pharmacy live on the PRx solution
- Complete all online PRx product courses
- Develop a basic understanding of PRx product functionality
- Train customers on Point of Sale (POS) and Retail Pricing (checking out customers)
- Configuring/installing workstation setup(s) and printers
- Begin development of troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with working pre and post-installation ticketing
New Store Lead - (Must be proficient in all key duties listed above, in addition to the key duties below)
- Ability to lead new Pharmacy installation (no previous software to convert)
- Install and configure software applications
- Train customers on Point of Sale (POS), Retail Pricing, RX-Workflow, and base knowledge of RX-Pricing, Inventory, and RX-rejections
- Configuring/installing workstation setup, printers, IVR, servers, and any extra equipment the pharmacy may have and base knowledge of auto-dispensing devices
- Troubleshooting any issues/concerns that may arise during the installation process
- Participates in customer pre and post-installation tickets
- Providing customized training to the pharmacy to understand the general applications and functions of the software
- Communicates, trains, and helps document training and configuration procedures
- Participates in in-office special projects assigned by other departments
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Establishes and maintains a quality face-to-face customer service experience
- Educate and guide the customer to productivity software features to allow proper execution of their business
Education/Training
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Required Work Experience/Skills
- Ability to travel solo or with colleagues around the country
- Valid Driver’s License in good standing
- Previous IT and Networking experience preferred
- Proficient in using Windows operating systems
- Good decision-making skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Moderate or elevated levels of stress may be experienced in the performance of the job
- The position is performed in a general office/warehouse, retail pharmacy environment, or approved remote workspace where physical work includes sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting 60 lbs
- Willingness to travel a minimum of 35 weeks per year
- Adapting to travel conditions such as schedule changes and weather

- Daily use of Microsoft Teams (phone), computer, printer, and other routine office equipment
