The Role:
As a Sr. Category Manager – Indirect Sourcing at iA, you will be a pivotal member of the Strategic Sourcing Team, owning supplier relationships for key indirect spend categories. In this highly strategic role, you will drive sourcing initiatives that deliver innovation, cost savings, supplier performance improvements, and working capital efficiencies. Your expertise will enable you to negotiate complex, multi-year supply agreements and project-specific contracts, ensuring alignment with business objectives and procurement best practices while fostering strong partnerships with cross-functional teams. Leveraging your deep market insights, you will act as a trusted advisor on industry trends, risks, and opportunities, shaping sourcing strategies that support operational excellence and business growth. You will also develop and maintain a robust, diversified supply base that aligns with evolving business needs. In addition to leading category management strategies, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders—including Finance, IT, and Manufacturing—to enhance procurement operations, drive continuous improvement, and maximize the impact of iA’s sourcing activities.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing category strategies that align with iA’s business objectives, working cross-functionally with key stakeholders.
- Lead the strategic management of multimillion-dollar indirect materials and services supply base, driving cost optimization, supplier performance, and risk management.
- Initiate and lead RFI/RFP/RFQ processes to support sourcing initiatives and business objectives.
- Analyze spend data and develop supplier forecasts in partnership with internal stakeholders, identifying opportunities for cost savings and supplier leverage while ensuring supply chain readiness for rapid growth.
- Monitor and improve supplier performance, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to enhance business processes and ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost, delivery, and quality are consistently met.
- Lead contract negotiations in collaboration with Business Leadership and Legal, securing favorable terms that align with iA’s business needs.
- Track and report key supply chain metrics, including cost savings, payment terms, on-time delivery, quality, and warranty performance for assigned categories.
- Identify, assess, and onboard new suppliers, conducting supplier assessments and developing supply chains that support both current operations and new product development initiatives.
- Stay current with market trends, innovations, and risks for assigned categories through research and participation in trade shows and industry events.
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or a related technical field.
- 6+ years of strategic sourcing and category management experience, focusing on indirect categories such as IT, Telecom, Temporary Labor, Rental Equipment, Consulting, Freight, and MRO.
- Proven ability to negotiate multi-year, multi-million-dollar supplier contracts, delivering both significant cost savings and business value.
- Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of financial impacts related to supplier contract terms and conditions.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to create impactful presentations and reports.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize large volumes of data to support strategic business decisions.
- Experience with purchasing and planning functions within ERP/MRP systems.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing business priorities in a fast-paced, rapidly growing technology environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% as needed.

- Experience in developing, refining, and documenting processes to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
- Proven ability to lead successful projects across multiple indirect categories, delivering measurable results and aligning with business goals.
- Supply Chain certifications such as CSCP, CPSM, CPIM, or similar, demonstrating expertise and commitment to professional development.
- Experience with SQL and database query writing, leveraging data to support decision-making and optimize sourcing strategies.

Compensation:
The estimated base annual salary range for this position is $123,360.80 to $169,621.10, though a candidate’s base annual salary shall be determined on a range of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications and experience. This position may additionally be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
