This position is responsible for coordinating transport activity within an assigned market. This position is also responsible for ensuring high member and clinic satisfaction through efficient coordination of pick-up and return schedules.
Primary Responsibilities
- Communicates with drivers, inbound teams, members, providers, clinic staff and co-workers
- Schedule, route, and dispatch trips to all manner of providers
- Ensures pick-ups, drop-offs, and ride times occur in a timely, safe, and efficient manner
- Reschedules trips to adjust for breakdowns, service limitations, return trip changes and other circumstances.
- Provide assistance to drivers for directions to destinations
- Assist drivers and transportation providers with problems or issues relating to scheduling
- Establish and maintain effective communication with transportation providers
- Report and record all accidents and/or incidents to the applicable manager/supervisor
- Respond to emergency situations to ensure transportation coverage
- Monitor software, telephones and on-road provision of service for quality
- Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 2+ years of customer service experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Dispatch experience for non-emergency medical transportation
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency
Soft Skills
- Proven ability to read maps and understand the relation of time to distance
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal skills
The hourly range for this role is $16.00 to $28.85 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
