JOB DESCRIPTION
As the leading provider of cold chain temperature assured shipping systems for the life science industry, CCT continues to develop leading edge digital capabilities providing our customers with meaningful insights into their shipments. This new role will ensure use of existing data provides value and will define and execute new leading edge data analytical capabilities that support our best-in-class cold chain products and services.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as lead data strategist to identify and integrate new datasets that can be leveraged through our product capabilities and work closely with the digital service and engineering teams in the development of data products.
- Identify relevant data sources and sets to mine for customer business needs and collect large structured and unstructured datasets and variables.
- Devise and utilize algorithms and models to mine big-data stores; perform data and error analysis to improve models; clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy
- Analyze data for trends and patterns, and interpret data with clear objectives in mind
- Implement analytical models in production by collaborating with software developers and engineers on site in the CCT Digital Innovation Center in Sandiego, CA.
Requirements:
engineering, or a related field) with strong demonstrated data analysis skills using appropriate software to organize complex data into useful business conclusions.
Strong background in application of statistics and mathematics to build innovative statistical models to support data analysis.
Strong demonstrated knowledge of appropriate software tools and software development to be used to complete analysis and demonstrate new capabilities.
Programming Languages: Python, R, SQL, Java, or Scala
Data Manipulation & Analysis: Pandas, NumPy, SciPy.
Machine Learning Frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn.
Big Data Tools: Hadoop, Spark.
Visualization Tools: Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn.
Knowledge of heat transfer physics and solutions is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with all digital strategy team members and bring creative ideas to our future capabilities.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in data science.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
