Position Overview
We are recruiting an experienced Special Education Teacher to join our remote learning program in Medford, Oregon. We seek a dedicated professional who can create engaging virtual learning experiences while supporting students with special needs.
Essential Responsibilities
- Design and implement virtual special education programs
- Provide individualized instruction through online platforms
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers
- Perform virtual assessments and progress monitoring
- Conduct online meetings with parents and staff
- Complete required documentation and maintain records
- Create and implement virtual behavior support plans
- Participate in professional development activities
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid Oregon teaching license with Special Education endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of classroom teaching experience in special education
- Demonstrated proficiency in virtual instruction
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Experience with IEP development and implementation
Preferred Qualifications
- Virtual teaching experience
- Knowledge of educational technology
- Spanish/English bilingual skills
- Experience with multicultural education
- Understanding of state special education requirements
Schedule
Full-time position following the standard academic calendar
