Environmental Conditions
Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Laboratory Setting, Office, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)
The Lead Supply Chain Coordinator will plan, procure and delivery raw materials, supplies and special-order chemicals from the dock door to the Gibco Rapid Prototyping (GRP) production floor. The GRP builds products without BOM(s) in short lead times in a non-cGMP environment. This role works closely with cross functional teams including Receiving, Material Handling, Quality, Procurement, Operations, EHS and Planning to ensure materials flow consistently, production schedules are met, efficiency is improved, and we meet commitments to customers.
This role will report directly to the production team leader to ensure key performance metrics are met, including Schedule Adherence and Attainment, On Time and In Full (OTIF), Lead Times. The Materials Coordinator has responsibility for prioritizing and coordinating activities relating to raw material availability, material availability for planning, and expedite needs for Procurement/Sourcing. The materials coordinator will implement proactive production philosophies (Campaigns, Rhythm Wheels, Finite Scheduling, and Capacity Utilization), strategies, policies, and procedures for successful integration into the production schedule to improve department output. The Materials Coordinator will also be responsible for preparing data and analyzing inventory trends, capacity requirements, external and internal key performance metrics, and proposing process improvement and the generation or management of key reports, metrics, and projects.
Essential Functions
Maintain continuous material availability to improve production efficiency
Lead Material Availability in Tier Meetings
Clearly communicates across teams and demonstrated experience delivering results in short timelines
Coordinate Cross Functional teams to deliver an executable production schedule to improve OTIF and delivery commitments to customers
Complete special projects as assigned and provide manager support as required.
Manage concurrent / reclass process to support production needs
Data gathering and analysis
This position will be hands on in the production, warehouse and office space.
This position may be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.
Education:
Requires a High School diploma. Associated degree or higher in the sciences, business, or engineering, or equivalent work experience is desired.
Experience/Requirements:
E1 and/or SAP working knowledge is required.
MRP knowledge and ERP experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong Computer proficiency required in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Knowledge of business concepts/principles (terms and conditions, transportation, accounting) required.
ISO or equivalent system and change control (FDA, cGMP) experience required.
Organization process knowledge desired.

Compensation And Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $23.26–$34.89.
