Job Purpose:
The Regional Training Specialist will report to the Regional Director of Operations and is responsible for conducting both new hire and ongoing functional training as well as quality assurance audits, primarily but not limited to our Pharmacy Technicians, Patient Support Center Representatives, and Pharmacy Liaisons.
Job Duties: - Provide Classroom Training for all new liaisons and pharmacy technicians.
- Provide "Liaison Perspective" training for new Pharmacists and other members of the Shields Business team when requested.
- Provide in Clinic Training support for new liaisons.
- Provide continuing education for existing liaisons.
- Develop written training materials covering all key components of Liaison role
- Best Practices for Prior Authorization Log
- Best Practices for Financial Assistance
- Best Practices for Therigy
- Best Practices for working with TelemetryRX
- Coordinate Training schedule for New Liaisons with Manager of Patient Services.
- Develop training Program for National Integration Liaisons.
- Develop training Program for Liaison Managers (Manager of Patient Services).
- Continue to develop and coordinate efficient Liaison/PSC Technician/Pharmacy Technicians Training Program in collaboration with Director of Training, Senior Director of Pharmacy Services, Regional Liaisons and Liaison Managers.
- Provide regular review of PA/FA log and Therigy for new liaisons.
- Report to managers as appropriate and offer suggestions for continuous improvement.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly proficient in systems such as MS Office (e.g., Word, Excel), EMR systems (e.g., EPIC, Cerner, or Meditech), and dispensing systems (e.g., QS1, RX30, or Computer Rx).

Education/Experience:
Required Licensure/Certification: We are seeking experienced pharmacy technicians who are state registered as a pharmacy technician. Nationally certified as a CPhT is strongly preferred but not required. Should additional licensure need to be obtained, the applicant will commit to obtaining the required licensure within a mutually agreed upon timeframe. Continued employment is contingent upon meeting these requirements.
Years of Experience: 3-5 years as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably with specialty pharmacy experience. Prior training experience is a plus.
Education: High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor's Degree or PTCB/ExCPT License preferred
