We are looking for an
Engineering Intern to spearhead our Mechanical Integrity Documents Program at our
Fallon, NV location. This role is 75% drafting through CAD and 25% in the field examining, pipes, processes, schematics, and designing or re-designing diagrams to ensure all documents are up to date and accurate.
Wage: $30hr
Time Frame: January-May 2025 preferred. The project time frame is flexible and would consider summer.
Locations: Housing is not provided. Living in a commutable distance from Fallon, NV is preferred.
- For the Mechanical Integrity program, will coordinates with operation to create, but not limited to updating CAD drawings and PIDs
- Provide technical services for the development of process instructions
- Coordinate with internal technical groups to identify and implement best practices
- May design or redesign piping, develop prototypes and produce the associated technical documents
- Support continuous improvement program through existing processes.
What does it take to work at Safety-Kleen, a Clean Harbors Company?
- Current enrollment in an accredited Bachelor’s Degree program or higher and/or recent graduate in Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering
- 0-3 years of experience in an engineering discipline
- Experienced with CAD type software
- Must be able to quickly grasp an understanding of all equipment used at the site, including process instrumentation, piping, valves, pumps, material of construction, coating systems, fire detection and controls, material handling and building/structure maintenance.
- Project Management experience preferred
- Experience in design engineering, preferably in the waste industry is a plus!
- Proficient in MS Office Suite – Excel, Word
- Must be able to communicate with all levels of the organization written and verbally
- Lift up to 50lbs, climb ladders, stoop, bend, stand for long periods and exposed to various weather conditions
