The role you’ll contribute:
Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Performs duties necessary for the effective daily operation of all department services and programs. Functions with a significant level of responsibility, autonomy, and expertise under administrative supervision of pharmacy management personnel. Work to meet highly specialized pharmacy business need in programs such as Diversion Prevention, Automated Dispensing Machine Support, Informatics, Medication History, Investigational Drugs or Cleanroom Specialist.

- Provides support in the appropriate utilization of medication automation, technology, and computer systems.
- Maintains expertise in electronic medical records processed and accurately interprets records.
- Maintains proficiency, supports the management of and actively provides coverage for applicable technician specialty position provided by Diversion Prevention Analyst, Automated Dispensing Machine (ADM) Support Specialist, Informatics Specialist, Medication History Specialist, Investigational Drug Specialist, Cleanroom Specialist, or other specialist positions. Follow specific function requirements and competencies listed in this job description for each specialty area.
- Facilitates medication safety practices by identifying and reporting potential medication errors such as look-alike sound-alike medications.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- High school or equivalent
- Three years of hospital pharmacy experience PTCB - Certified Pharmacy Technician
- Sterile Compounding & Aseptic Technique-IV Cert Course
- Registered Pharmacy Technician
- Applicable State Pharmacy Technician Registration (RPT)
- Current certification from Nationally recognized Board/Association
- Sterile Compounding Certification, if applicable per state legislation
