Job Summary And Qualifications
The receiving clerk is responsible for receiving in-bound material. This position is responsible for receiving shipments, sorting items within the shipment and breaking down into the appropriate locations.
Major Responsibilities:
- Records incoming deliveries in system by Purchase Order using RF device
- Ensures bills of lading (BOL) are accurate and material condition is acceptable and/ or documented on the BOL
- Ability to learn the ERP system, and other systems as required
- Documents shortages / overages against Purchase Orders
- Verifies the accuracy of material received with amount on purchase order
- Operates lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist product to proper locations and process outgoing orders
- Completes receiving labels and affixes them to the received material
- Accurately receive in, store, and deliver materials in a timely manner
- Separates Vendor lot numbers when items a delivered with mixed lots on pallets
- Adheres to all safety and quality policies and practices
Education & Experience:
- High School diploma or GED Required
- 5 years’ experience in a receiving function Required
- Proficient with an ERP and/or WMS and in reading purchase orders. Required
